John 8:48-55
English Standard Version
Before Abraham Was, I Am
48 The Jews answered him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and (A)have a demon?” 49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but (B)I honor my Father, and you dishonor me. 50 Yet (C)I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge. 51 Truly, truly, (D)I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never (E)see death.” 52 The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! (F)Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet (G)you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never (H)taste death.’ 53 (I)Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?” 54 Jesus answered, (J)“If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. (K)It is my Father who glorifies me, (L)of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’[a] 55 But (M)you have not known him. (N)I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be (O)a liar (P)like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.

John 5:21-29
English Standard Version
21 For as the Father (A)raises the dead and (B)gives them life, so (C)also the Son gives life (D)to whom he will. 22 (E)For the Father judges no one, but (F)has given all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son, just as they (G)honor the Father. (H)Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, (I)whoever hears my word and (J)believes him who sent me has eternal life. He (K)does not come into judgment, but (L)has passed from death to life.
25 “Truly, truly, I say to you, (M)an hour is coming, and is now here, when (N)the dead will hear (O)the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear (P)will live. 26 (Q)For as the Father has life in himself, (R)so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27 And he (S)has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. 28 Do not marvel at this, for (T)an hour is coming when (U)all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, (V)those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.
