Abraham’s Seed and Satan’s

³⁷ “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but ^(A)you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you.

^14 (A)But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

⁴⁵ But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. ⁴⁶ Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? ^47 (A)He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

^7 (A)nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, ^(B)“In Isaac your seed shall be called.”

Jesus’ Brothers Disbelieve

7 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, ^(A)because the ^[a]Jews sought to kill Him.

⁵⁹ Then ^(A)they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, ^(B)going^[a] through the midst of them, and so passed by.

²⁶ “Men and brethren, sons of the ^[a]family of Abraham, and ^(A)those among you who fear God, ^(B)to you the ^[b]word of this salvation has been sent.

^43 (A)Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.

³⁹ Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

^41 (C)These things Isaiah said ^[a]when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.

Walk in the Light

⁴² Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but ^(D)because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; ^43 (E)for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
