¹⁹ Then they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?”

Jesus answered, ^(A)“You know neither Me nor My Father. ^(B)If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.”

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, ^(A)“If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. ^(B)It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is ^[a]your God. ⁵⁵ Yet ^(C)you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and ^(D)keep His word.

³ And ^(A)these things they will do ^[a]to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.

⁶ Jesus said to him, “I am ^(A)the way, ^(B)the truth, and ^(C)the life. ^(D)No one comes to the Father ^(E)except through Me.

The Father Revealed

^7 (F)“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

⁸ Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”

⁹ Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? ^(G)He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

⁴ whose minds ^(A)the god of this age ^(B)has blinded, who do not believe, lest ^(C)the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(D)who is the image of God, should shine on them. ^5 (E)For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ^(F)ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. ⁶ For it is the God ^(G)who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has ^(H)shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

^34 (A)Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; ^(B)for some do not have the knowledge of God. ^(C)I speak this to your shame.

Jesus Gives True Rest^(A)

^25 (B)At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that ^(C)You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent ^(D)and have revealed them to babes.

²⁸ Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, ^(A)“You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and ^(B)I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me ^(C)is true, ^(D)whom you do not know.

¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and ^(A)the world did not know Him.
