13 The Pharisees challenged him, “Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid.”(A)

14 Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going.(B) But you have no idea where I come from(C) or where I am going. 15 You judge by human standards;(D) I pass judgment on no one.(E) 16 But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.(F) 17 In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true.(G) 18 I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.”(H)

19 Then they asked him, “Where is your father?”

“You do not know me or my Father,”(I) Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”(J) 20 He spoke these words while teaching(K) in the temple courts near the place where the offerings were put.(L) Yet no one seized him, because his hour had not yet come.(M)

13 So the Pharisees said to Him, “(A)You are testifying about Yourself; Your testimony is not [a]true.” 14 Jesus answered and said to them, (B)Even if I am testifying about Myself, My testimony is [b]true, because I know (C)where I came from and where I am going; but (D)you do not know where I come from or where I am going. 15 (E)You judge [c]according to the flesh; (F)I am not judging anyone. 16 But even (G)if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone in it, but I and the Father who sent Me. 17 Even in (H)your Law it has been written that the testimony of (I)two people is [d]true. 18 I am He who testifies about Myself, and (J)the Father who sent Me testifies about Me.” 19 So they were saying to Him, “Where is Your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father; (K)if you knew Me, you would know My Father also.” 20 These words He spoke [e]in (L)the treasury, as (M)He taught in the temple area; and no one arrested Him, because (N)His hour had not yet come.

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
