²² “Consider this: Moses has given you circumcision^(A)—not that it comes from Moses but from the fathers^(B)—and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.^(C)

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers,^(A) has glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied in the presence of Pilate,^(B) when he had decided to release Him.

³² And we ourselves proclaim to you the good news of the promise that was made to our ancestors.^(A)

⁵ The ancestors are theirs,^(A) and from them, by physical descent,^[a] came the Messiah,^(B) who is God^(C) over all,^(D) praised forever.^[b](E) Amen.

²⁸ Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage,^(A) but regarding election, they are loved because of the patriarchs,^(B)
