¹⁶ Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.^(A)

²⁴ Whoever does not love me does not keep my words, and the word that you hear is not mine but is from the Father who sent me.^(A)

¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.^(A)

⁸ for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from you, and they have believed that you sent me.^(A)

Witnesses to Jesus

³⁰ “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just because I seek to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me.^(A)

¹⁴ I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.^(A)

⁴⁹ for I have not spoken on my own, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak. ⁵⁰ And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I speak, therefore, I speak just as the Father has told me.”

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I am he^[a] and that I do nothing on my own, but I speak these things as the Father instructed me.^(A)

³⁸ for I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.^{(A) 39} And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me but raise it up on the last day.^{(B) 40} This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.”^(C)

²³ so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.^{(A) 24} Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and does not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.^(B)
