¹⁴ About the middle of the feast Jesus went up ^(A)into the temple and began teaching.

²⁸ So Jesus proclaimed, ^(A)as he taught in the temple, ^(B)“You know me, and you know where I come from. But ^(C)I have not come of my own accord. ^(D)He who sent me is true, ^(E)and him you do not know.

^47 (A)And he was teaching daily in the temple. ^(B)The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people were seeking to destroy him,

²⁰ Jesus answered him, “I have spoken ^(A)openly ^(B)to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. ^(C)I have said nothing in secret.

^2 (A)Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and ^(B)he sat down and taught them.

Rivers of Living Water

^37 (A)On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, ^(B)“If anyone thirsts, let him ^(C)come to me and drink.

² Now ^(A)the Jews' Feast of ^(B)Booths was at hand.

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! ^(A)Sin no more, ^(B)that nothing worse may happen to you.”

⁵⁵ At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day ^(A)I sat in the temple ^(B)teaching, and you did not seize me.
