⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have ^(A)the words of eternal life,

^63 (A)It is the Spirit who gives life; ^(B)the flesh is no help at all. ^(C)The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)whoever hears my word and ^(B)believes him who sent me has eternal life. He ^(C)does not come into judgment, but ^(D)has passed from death to life.

¹² And there is ^(A)salvation ^(B)in no one else, for ^(C)there is no other ^(D)name under heaven given among men^[a] by which we must be saved.”

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God gave us ^(A)eternal life, and ^(B)this life is in his Son. ^12 (C)Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

¹³ I write ^(D)these things to you who ^(E)believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

²⁰ “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all ^(A)the words of ^(B)this ^(C)Life.”

⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who ^(A)looks on the Son and ^(B)believes in him ^(C)should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

^39 (A)You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and ^(B)it is they that bear witness about me, ⁴⁰ yet ^(C)you refuse to come to me that you may have life.
