John 6:67-71

New International Version

⁶⁷“You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.^(A)

⁶⁸Simon Peter answered him,^(B) “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.^(C) ⁶⁹We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”^(D)

⁷⁰Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you,^(E) the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!”^(F) ⁷¹(He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot,^(G) who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.)^(H)

²³Yet I am always with you;
    you hold me by my right hand.^(A)

    and afterward you will take me into glory.
