67 So Jesus said to (A)the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have (B)the words of eternal life, 69 and (C)we have believed, and have come to know, that (D)you are (E)the Holy One of God.” 70 Jesus answered them, (F)“Did I not choose you, (G)the twelve? And yet one of you is (H)a devil.” 71 He spoke of Judas (I)the son of Simon Iscariot, for (J)he, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.

Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet

13 Now (A)before (B)the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that (C)his hour had come (D)to depart out of this world to the Father, (E)having loved (F)his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. During supper, when (G)the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him, Jesus, knowing (H)that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that (I)he had come from God and (J)was going back to God, rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, (K)tied it around his waist. Then he (L)poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” (M)Jesus answered him, “What I am doing (N)you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” (O)Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, (P)“If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!”

30 (A)And when they had sung a hymn, (B)they went out to (C)the Mount of Olives. 31 Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will (D)strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ 32 But after I am raised up, (E)I will go before you to Galilee.” 33 (F)Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.” 34 (G)Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, (H)before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” 35 (I)Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” And all the disciples said the same.
