⁵¹ I am the living bread^(A) that came down from heaven.^(B) Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”^(C)

¹⁹ And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it,^(A) and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

⁵ Therefore, when Christ came into the world,^(A) he said:

⁸ First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”^(E)—though they were offered in accordance with the law. ⁹ Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.”^(F) He sets aside the first to establish the second. ¹⁰ And by that will, we have been made holy^(G) through the sacrifice of the body^(H) of Jesus Christ once for all.^(I)

¹¹ Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices,^(J) which can never take away sins.^{(K) 12} But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins,^(L) he sat down at the right hand of God,^(M)

¹⁴ who gave himself for us^(A) to redeem us from all wickedness^(B) and to purify^(C) for himself a people that are his very own,^(D) eager to do what is good.^(E)

²⁸ just as the Son of Man^(A) did not come to be served, but to serve,^(B) and to give his life as a ransom^(C) for many.”

²⁰ by a new and living way^(A) opened for us through the curtain,^(B) that is, his body,

³³ For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven^(A) and gives life to the world.”

¹⁴ And we have seen and testify^(A) that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.^(B)

² and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us^(A) and gave himself up for us^(B) as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.^(C)
