⁴⁴ No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me ^(A)draws him. And ^(B)I will raise him up on the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the Prophets, ^(C)‘And they will all be ^(D)taught by God.’ ^(E)Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me— ^46 (F)not that anyone has seen the Father except ^(G)he who is from God; he ^(H)has seen the Father.

³² And I, ^(A)when I am lifted up from the earth, ^(B)will draw ^(C)all people to myself.”

⁵ I am the vine; ^(A)you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that ^(B)bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in me ^(C)he is thrown away like a branch and withers; ^(D)and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

^20 (A)Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? ^(B)Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? ²¹ For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach^[a] to save those who believe.
