⁴² And they said, ^(A)“Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

²² So all bore witness to Him, and ^(A)marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, ^(B)“Is this not Joseph’s son?”

³ Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and ^(A)brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they ^(B)were offended at Him.

^55 (A)Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And ^(B)His brothers ^(C)James, ^[a]Joses, Simon, and Judas? ⁵⁶ And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?”

^27 (A)However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.”

²⁸ Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, ^(B)“You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and ^(C)I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me ^(D)is true, ^(E)whom you do not know.

⁴ But ^(A)when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, ^(B)born^{[a] (C)}of a woman, ^(D)born under the law,

^47 (A)The first man was of the earth, ^(B)made^[a] of dust; the second Man is ^[b]the Lord ^(C)from heaven.

³ concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who ^[a]was ^(A)born of the seed of David according to the flesh, ⁴ and ^(B)declared to be the Son of God with power according ^(C)to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
