John 6:40-46

New American Standard Bible

⁴⁰ For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who ^(A)sees the Son and ^(B)believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will ^(C)raise him up on the last day.”

Words to the Jews

^41 (D)So then the Jews were complaining about Him because He said, “I am the bread that ^(E)came down out of heaven.” ⁴² And they were saying, “^(F)Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother ^(G)we know? How does He now say, ‘^(H)I have come down out of heaven’?” ⁴³ Jesus answered and said to them, “Stop complaining among yourselves. ⁴⁴ No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me ^(I)draws him; and I will ^(J)raise him up on the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written ^(K)in the Prophets: ‘^(L)And they shall all be ^(M)taught of God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me. ^46 (N)Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.
