³⁶ But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.^(A)

⁸ Although you have not seen^[a] him, you love him, and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,^{(A) 9} for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.^[b]

³⁷ Although he had performed so many signs in their presence, they did not believe in him.

²⁶ Jesus answered them, “Very truly, I tell you, you are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate your fill of the loaves.^(A)

³¹ He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.^(A)

⁶⁴ But among you there are some who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who were the ones who did not believe and who was the one who would betray him.^(A)

⁴⁰ This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.”^(A)

³⁰ So they said to him, “What sign are you going to give us, then, so that we may see it and believe you? What work are you performing?^(A)
