I Am the True Vine

15 “I am the ^(A)true vine, and my Father is ^(B)the vinedresser.

^58 (A)This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread^[a] the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”

⁴ But ^(A)when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, ^(B)born ^(C)of woman, born ^(D)under the law,

⁵⁵ For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.

^50 (A)This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it ^(B)and not die.

⁴¹ So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, ^(A)“I am the bread that came down from heaven.”

³⁵ Jesus said to them, ^(A)“I am the bread of life; ^(B)whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

³³ For the bread of God is ^(A)he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
