²⁴ Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus.

¹⁷ where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them.

³⁷ and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”

¹⁵ He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?^(A) Who is it you are looking for?”

Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

⁴ Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him,^(A) went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”^(B)

⁵ “Jesus of Nazareth,”^(C) they replied.

“I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.)

¹¹ Now at the festival the Jewish leaders were watching for Jesus^(A) and asking, “Where is he?”

⁵⁹ He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

²³ Then some boats from Tiberias^(A) landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.^(B)

⁴⁰ Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him.

⁵³ When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there.^(A)
