² A large crowd kept following him because they saw the signs that he was doing for the sick.

²⁴ So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought to him all the sick, those who were afflicted with various diseases and pains, people possessed by demons or having epilepsy or afflicted with paralysis, and he cured them.^{(A) 25} And great crowds followed him from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.^(B)

God’s Chosen Servant

¹⁵ When Jesus became aware of this, he departed. Many^[a] followed him, and he cured all of them,^(A)

¹¹ Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee and revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.^(A)

³³ Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they hurried there on foot from all the towns and arrived ahead of them.

³⁰ Great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the maimed, the mute, and many others. They put them at his feet, and he cured them,^{(A) 31} so that the crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.^(B)

¹⁴ When he went ashore, he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion for them and cured their sick.^(A)

Jesus Cleanses a Man

8 When Jesus^[a] had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him,

² Such great crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat there, while the whole crowd stood on the beach.^(A)
