After that, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went to Jerusalem.

And there is at Jerusalem, by the sheep gate, a pool called in Hebrew, ‘Bethesda’, having five porches.

In these lay a great multitude of sick folk; of blind, lame, and withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and stirred the water. Whoever then first stepped in, after the stirring of the water, was made whole of whatever disease he had.

The sick one answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred. But while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

Jesus said to him, “Rise. Take up your bed and walk.”

And immediately the man was made whole. And he took up his bed and walked. And the same day was the Sabbath.

11 He answered them, “The One who made me whole, He said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’”

12 Then they asked him, “What Man is that who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”

13 And the one who was healed did not know Who it was. For Jesus had withdrawn from the multitude that was in that place.

14 And after that, Jesus found him in the Temple, and said to him, “Behold, you are made whole. Sin no more, lest a worse thing happen to you.”

15 The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus Who had made him whole.
