John 5:5-9
English Standard Version
5 One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?” 7 The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.” 8 Jesus said to him, (A)“Get up, take up your bed, and walk.” 9 (B)And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked.

Lamentations 3:18-26
English Standard Version
18 (A)so I say, “My endurance has perished;
so has my hope from the Lord.”
19 (B)Remember my affliction and my wanderings,
(C)the wormwood and (D)the gall!
20 My soul continually remembers it
(E)and is bowed down within me.
21 But this I call to mind,
and (F)therefore I have hope:
22 (G)The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]
(H)his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new (I)every morning;
(J)great is your faithfulness.
24 (K)“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
(L)“therefore I will hope in him.”
25 The Lord is good to those who (M)wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
26 (N)It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
