42 omdat Ik weet hoe u bent: u hebt de liefde van God niet in u. 43 Ik ben gekomen om mijn Vader te vertegenwoordigen en u ontvangt Mij niet. Maar wie uit zichzelf komt, zult u wel ontvangen. 44 U vindt het zo belangrijk wat de mensen van u zeggen dat u vergeet dat het erom gaat wat God van u denkt. Daarom kunt u niet in Mij geloven.

43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
