³⁶ But I have a testimony greater than John’s. The works that the Father has given me to complete, the very works that I am doing, testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.^(A)

²⁵ Jesus answered, “I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify to me,^(A)

⁹ If we receive human testimony, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has testified to his Son.^(A)

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.^(A)

³⁷ If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me.^{(A) 38} But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand^[a] that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”^(B)

³⁰ The man answered, “Here is an astonishing thing! You do not know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. ³¹ We know that God does not listen to sinners, but he does listen to one who worships him and obeys his will.^{(A) 32} Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. ³³ If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

²³ When he was in Jerusalem during the Passover festival, many believed in his name because they saw the signs that he was doing.

² He came to Jesus^[a] by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with that person.”^(A)

¹¹ And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.^(A)

¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.^{(A) 11} Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, but if you do not, then believe^[a] because of the works themselves.^(B)
