³⁴ Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved.

⁹ If we receive ^(A)the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; ^(B)for this is the witness of ^[a]God which He has testified of His Son.

^31 (A)but these are written that ^(B)you may believe that Jesus ^(C)is the Christ, the Son of God, ^(D)and that believing you may have life in His name.

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

⁴¹ Now as He drew near, He saw the city and ^(A)wept over it, ⁴² saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this ^(B)your day, the things that ^(C)make for your ^(D)peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

¹⁶ Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

³ For this is ^(A)good and acceptable in the sight ^(B)of God our Savior, ^4 (C)who desires all men to be saved ^(D)and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

^22 (A)to the weak I became ^[a]as weak, that I might win the weak. ^(B)I have become all things to all men, ^(C)that I might by all means save some.

Israel Needs the Gospel

10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for ^[a]Israel is that they may be saved.

³ For what if ^(A)some did not believe? ^(B)Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, ^(A)“If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. ^(B)It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is ^[a]your God.
