³ In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, ^[a]paralyzed, ^[b]waiting for the moving of the water.

Healing on the Sabbath^(A)

3 And ^(B)He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. ² So they ^(C)watched Him closely, whether He would ^(D)heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might ^[a]accuse Him. ³ And He said to the man who had the withered hand, ^[b]“Step forward.” ⁴ Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

^22 (A)Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: ^(B)that the blind ^(C)see, the lame ^(D)walk, the lepers are ^(E)cleansed, the deaf ^(F)hear, the dead are raised, ^(G)the poor have the gospel preached to them.

^30 (A)Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, ^[a]maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ ^(B)feet, and He healed them.

Be Patient and Persevering

⁷ Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
