²⁶ For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life^(A) in himself. ²⁷ And he has given him authority to judge^(B) because he is the Son of Man.

⁴¹ He was not seen by all the people,^(A) but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate^(B) and drank with him after he rose from the dead. ⁴² He commanded us to preach to the people^(C) and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.^(D)

³¹ For he has set a day when he will judge^(A) the world with justice^(B) by the man he has appointed.^(C) He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”^(D)

¹⁶ This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets^(A) through Jesus Christ,^(B) as my gospel^(C) declares.

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us^(A) for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

4 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead,^(A) and in view of his appearing^(B) and his kingdom, I give you this charge:^(C)
