¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, “My Father is still working, and I also am working.”^(A)

¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.^(A)

⁴ We^[a] must work the works of him who sent me^[b] while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.^(A)

¹⁶ for in^[a] him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him.

⁶ and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.

³ He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact imprint of God’s very being, and he sustains^[a] all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for^[b] sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,^(A)

2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all their multitude.^{(A) 2} On the sixth^[a] day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done.^(B)

²⁸ For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,

¹⁷ yet he has not left himself without a witness in doing good, giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons and filling you with food and your hearts with joy.”^(A)

²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.
