John 5:15-18
English Standard Version
15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. 16 And this was why the Jews (A)were persecuting Jesus, (B)because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”
Jesus Is Equal with God
18 This was why the Jews (C)were seeking all the more to kill him, (D)because not only was he (E)breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God (F)his own Father, (G)making himself equal with God.

Romans 8:5-11
English Standard Version
5 For (A)those who live according to the flesh set their minds on (B)the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on (C)the things of the Spirit. 6 For to set (D)the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is (E)hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; (F)indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact (G)the Spirit of God dwells in you. (H)Anyone who does not have (I)the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of (J)him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus[a] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies (K)through his Spirit who dwells in you.

5 (A)Put to death therefore (B)what is earthly in you:[a] (C)sexual immorality, impurity, (D)passion, evil desire, and covetousness, (E)which is idolatry. 6 (F)On account of these the wrath of God is coming.[b] 7 (G)In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. 8 But now (H)you must put them all away: (I)anger, wrath, malice, (J)slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. 9 (K)Do not lie to one another, seeing that (L)you have put off (M)the old self[c] with its practices 10 and (N)have put on (O)the new self, (P)which is being renewed in knowledge (Q)after the image of (R)its creator.
