4 主知道法利赛人听见他收门徒施洗比约翰还多 2 （其实不是耶稣亲自施洗，乃是他的门徒施洗）， 3 他就离了犹太，又往加利利去。 4 必须经过撒马利亚， 5 于是到了撒马利亚的一座城，名叫叙加，靠近雅各给他儿子约瑟的那块地。 6 在那里有雅各井。耶稣因走路困乏，就坐在井旁。那时约有午正。 7 有一个撒马利亚的妇人来打水，耶稣对她说：“请你给我水喝。” 8 那时门徒进城买食物去了。 9 撒马利亚的妇人对他说：“你既是犹太人，怎么向我一个撒马利亚妇人要水喝呢？”（原来犹太人和撒马利亚人没有来往。） 10 耶稣回答说：“你若知道神的恩赐和对你说‘给我水喝’的是谁，你必早求他，他也必早给了你活水。” 11 妇人说：“先生，没有打水的器具，井又深，你从哪里得活水呢？ 12 我们的祖宗雅各将这井留给我们，他自己和儿子并牲畜也都喝这井里的水，难道你比他还大吗？”
喝主所赐之水永远不渴
13 耶稣回答说：“凡喝这水的，还要再渴， 14 人若喝我所赐的水，就永远不渴。我所赐的水要在他里头成为泉源，直涌到永生。” 15 妇人说：“先生，请把这水赐给我，叫我不渴，也不用来这么远打水。” 16 耶稣说：“你去叫你丈夫也到这里来。” 17 妇人说：“我没有丈夫。”耶稣说：“你说没有丈夫是不错的。 18 你已经有五个丈夫，你现在有的并不是你的丈夫。你这话是真的。” 19 妇人说：“先生，我看出你是先知。 20 我们的祖宗在这山上礼拜，你们倒说，应当礼拜的地方是在耶路撒冷。”
须用心灵诚实拜父
21 耶稣说：“妇人，你当信我。时候将到，你们拜父也不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。 22 你们所拜的你们不知道，我们所拜的我们知道，因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。 23 时候将到，如今就是了，那真正拜父的，要用心灵和诚实拜他，因为父要这样的人拜他。 24 神是个[a]灵，所以拜他的必须用心灵和诚实拜他。” 25 妇人说：“我知道弥赛亚，就是那称为基督的要来，他来了，必将一切的事都告诉我们。” 26 耶稣说：“这和你说话的就是他。”
27 当下门徒回来，就稀奇耶稣和一个妇人说话，只是没有人说“你是要什么？”，或说“你为什么和她说话？”。 28 那妇人就留下水罐子，往城里去，对众人说： 29 “你们来看！有一个人将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了，莫非这就是基督吗？” 30 众人就出城，往耶稣那里去。
耶稣以遵行父意为食物
31 这其间，门徒对耶稣说：“拉比，请吃。” 32 耶稣说：“我有食物吃，是你们不知道的。” 33 门徒就彼此对问说：“莫非有人拿什么给他吃吗？” 34 耶稣说：“我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意，做成他的工。 35 你们岂不说，到收割的时候还有四个月吗？我告诉你们：举目向田观看！庄稼已经熟了[b]，可以收割了。 36 收割的人得工价，积蓄五谷到永生，叫撒种的和收割的一同快乐。 37 俗语说：‘那人撒种，这人收割。’这话可见是真的。 38 我差你们去收你们所没有劳苦的，别人劳苦，你们享受他们所劳苦的。”
39 那城里有好些撒马利亚人信了耶稣，因为那妇人作见证说：“他将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了。” 40 于是撒马利亚人来见耶稣，求他在他们那里住下，他便在那里住了两天。 41 因耶稣的话，信的人就更多了， 42 便对妇人说：“现在我们信，不是因为你的话，是我们亲自听见了，知道这真是救世主。”
耶稣在本地无人尊敬
43 过了那两天，耶稣离了那地方，往加利利去。 44 因为耶稣自己作过见证说，先知在本地是没有人尊敬的。 45 到了加利利，加利利人既然看见他在耶路撒冷过节所行的一切事，就接待他，因为他们也是上去过节。
医大臣之子

Jesus Goes to Galilee
4 So then, when (A)the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that [a]He was making and (B)baptizing more disciples than John 2 (although (C)Jesus Himself was not baptizing; rather, His (D)disciples were), 3 He left (E)Judea and went away (F)again to Galilee. 4 And He had to pass through (G)Samaria. 5 So He *came to a city of (H)Samaria called Sychar, near (I)the parcel of land that (J)Jacob gave to his son Joseph; 6 and Jacob’s well was there. So Jesus, tired from His journey, was just sitting by the well. It was about [b]the sixth hour.
The Woman of Samaria
7 A woman of Samaria *came to draw water. Jesus *said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8 For His (K)disciples had gone away to (L)the city to buy food. 9 So the (M)Samaritan woman *said to Him, “How is it that You, though You are a Jew, are asking me for a drink, though I am a Samaritan woman?” (For (N)Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus replied to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you (O)living water.” 11 She *said to Him, “[c]Sir, You have no bucket and the well is deep; where then do You get this (P)living water? 12 You are not greater than our father Jacob, are You, who (Q)gave us the well and drank of it himself, and his sons and his cattle?” 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again; 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him (R)shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to (S)eternal life.”
15 The woman *said to Him, “[d]Sir, (T)give me this water so that I will not be thirsty, nor come all the way here to draw water.” 16 He *said to her, “Go, call your husband and come here.” 17 The woman answered and said to Him, “I have no husband.” Jesus *said to her, “You have correctly said, ‘I have no husband’; 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; this which you have said is true.” 19 The woman *said to Him, “[e]Sir, I perceive that You are (U)a prophet. 20 (V)Our fathers worshiped on (W)this mountain, and yet you Jews say that (X)in Jerusalem is the place where one must worship.” 21 Jesus *said to her, “Believe Me, woman, that [f](Y)a time is coming when you will worship the Father (Z)neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 (AA)You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, because (AB)salvation is from the Jews. 23 But [g](AC)a time is coming, and [h]even now has arrived, when the true worshipers will worship the Father (AD)in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be [i]His worshipers. 24 God is [j]spirit, and those who worship Him must worship (AE)in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman *said to Him, “I know that (AF)Messiah is coming ((AG)He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” 26 Jesus *said to her, “(AH)I am He, the One speaking to you.”
27 And at this point His (AI)disciples came, and they were amazed that He had been speaking with a woman, yet no one said, “What are You seeking?” or, “Why are You speaking with her?” 28 So the woman left her waterpot and went into the city, and *said to the people, 29 “Come, see a Man (AJ)who told me all the things that I have done; (AK)this is not the [k]Christ, is He?” 30 They left the city and were coming to Him.
31 Meanwhile the disciples were urging Him, saying, “(AL)Rabbi, eat something.” 32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.” 33 So the (AM)disciples were saying to one another, “No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?” 34 Jesus *said to them, “My food is to (AN)do the will of Him who sent Me, and to (AO)accomplish His work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields, that they are white (AP)for harvest. 36 Already the one who reaps is receiving (AQ)wages and is gathering (AR)fruit for (AS)eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this case the saying is true: ‘(AT)One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have [l]come into their labor.”
The Samaritans
39 Now from (AU)that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “(AV)He told me all the things that I have done.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to [m]Jesus, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. 41 Many more believed because of His word; 42 and they were saying to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One truly is (AW)the Savior of the world.”
43 And after (AX)the two days, He departed from there for Galilee. 44 For Jesus Himself testified that (AY)a prophet has no honor in his own country. 45 So when He came to Galilee, the Galileans received Him, only because (AZ)they had seen all the things that He did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they themselves also went to the feast.
Healing an Official’s Son
46 Therefore He came again to (BA)Cana of Galilee, (BB)where He had made the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son was sick at (BC)Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus had come (BD)from Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and began asking Him to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death. 48 Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see [n](BE)signs and (BF)wonders, you simply will not believe.” 49 The royal official *said to Him, “[o]Sir, come down before my child dies.” 50 Jesus *said to him, “(BG)Go; your son [p]is alive.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went home. 51 And as he was now going down, his slaves met him, saying that his [q]son was [r]alive. 52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. Then they said to him, “Yesterday at the [s]seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son is alive”; and he himself believed, and (BH)his entire household. 54 This is again a (BI)second [t]sign that Jesus performed when He had (BJ)come from Judea into Galilee.

4 耶稣[a]知道，法利赛人听说他收门徒和施洗比约翰更多。 2 其实不是耶稣亲自施洗，而是他的门徒们施洗。 3 于是耶稣离开犹太地区，又前往加利利地区。 4 但他定要经过撒马利亚， 5 这样就来到了撒马利亚的一个城，叫叙加。这城靠近雅各给他儿子约瑟的那块地， 6 雅各井就在那里。耶稣因旅途劳累，就坐在井边。那时大约是中午十二点[b]。
7 有一个撒马利亚妇人来打水。耶稣对她说：“请给我一点水喝。” 8 那时，他的门徒们进城买食物去了。
9 撒马利亚妇人对他说：“你是犹太人，怎么向我一个撒马利亚妇人要水喝呢？”原来犹太人不和撒马利亚人来往。[c]

13 耶稣回答说：“所有喝这水的人，还会再渴。 14 但如果有人喝了我给他的水，就绝不干渴，直到永远。不但如此，我给他的水将要在他里面成为泉源，一直涌流到永恒的生命。”
15 妇人说：“先生，请给我那水，使我不渴，我也不用到这里来打水了。”
16 耶稣说：“去叫你的丈夫，再回到这里来。”
17 妇人回答说：“我没有丈夫。”
耶稣说：“你说你没有丈夫，这话没错。 18 其实你已经有过五个丈夫，你现在有的，不是你的丈夫。你说的是真的。”
19 妇人对他说：“先生，我看出你是先知！ 20 我们的祖先在这山上敬拜，而你们却说敬拜的地方必须在耶路撒冷。”
21 耶稣说：“妇人，你当相信我，时候就要到了！那时你们敬拜父，既不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。 22 你们敬拜你们所不认识的；我们却敬拜我们所认识的，因为救恩是出自犹太人的。 23 然而，时候就要到了，现在就是了！那时真正敬拜的人，要在灵里和真理中敬拜父，因为父就是想要这样的人来敬拜他。 24 神是灵，敬拜他的人必须在灵里和真理中敬拜。”
25 妇人说：“我知道那称为基督的弥赛亚要来。他来的时候，就会把一切都传讲给我们。”
26 耶稣说：“这和你说话的我，就是那一位。”
庄稼熟了
27 正在这时，他的门徒们回来了。他们见耶稣与一个妇人一同说话，就感到惊奇。只是没有人问“你想要什么？”或“你为什么与她说话？”
28 那妇人放下她的水罐，回到城里告诉人们说： 29 “你们来看！有个人把我过去所做的一切都说了出来，这个人会不会就是基督呢？” 30 大家就出城，来到耶稣那里。
31 这其间，门徒们劝耶稣说：“拉比，请吃。”
32 但耶稣说：“我有食物吃，是你们所不知道的。”
33 门徒彼此问：“难道有人拿东西来给他吃了吗？”

救世主
39 当时，那城里有许多撒马利亚人信了耶稣。这是因为那妇人见证说：“他把我过去所做的一切都说了出来。” 40 这样，撒马利亚人来到耶稣那里的时候，请求他住在他们那里。于是耶稣在那里住了两天。 41 后来，因着耶稣的话，信的人就更多了。 42 他们告诉那妇人说：“现在我们信，不再是因为你的话，而是因为我们亲耳听到了，并且知道这一位真是世界的救主[e]。”
加利利人欢迎耶稣
43 两天后，耶稣离开了那里，前往加利利地区。 44 他曾亲自见证说，先知在自己的家乡得不到尊敬。 45 当耶稣来到加利利地区，加利利人就接受他，因为他们也曾经上耶路撒冷去过节，看到耶稣节日期间在那里所行的一切事。
治愈大臣的儿子
46 耶稣又来到加利利的迦拿，就是他把水变成酒的地方。有一个大臣，他的儿子在迦百农患了病。 47 这个人听说耶稣从犹太来到加利利，就到耶稣那里去，请求他下去治愈他的儿子，因为他的儿子快要死了。
48 耶稣对他说：“你们如果没有看见神迹和奇事，你们就绝不会信！”
49 那大臣对耶稣说：“先生，求你在我的孩子还没有死之前下来吧！”
50 耶稣对他说：“你回去吧，你的儿子活了！”那人相信耶稣的话，就回去了。
51 他正下去的时候，他的奴仆们迎着他来[f]，告诉他孩子活了。 52 他就问孩子好转的时间，他们说：“昨天下午一点[g]，烧就退了。” 53 这位父亲就知道，那正是耶稣说“你的儿子活了”的时间。于是他自己和全家人都信了。
54 这是耶稣从犹太回到加利利以后所行的第二件神迹。
