⁶ Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

¹⁵ For ^(A)we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but ^(B)was in all points tempted as we are, ^(C)yet without sin.

¹⁷ Therefore, in all things He had ^(A)to be made like His brethren, that He might be ^(B)a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

^24 (A)And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.

² And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, ^(A)that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become ^(B)rich.

⁹ Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? ^(A)If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the ^(B)light of this world.

⁵⁸ And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man ^(A)has nowhere to lay His head.”

⁷ And ^(A)she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a ^[a]manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
