⁵³ The father^(A) realized this was the very hour at which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” So he himself believed, along with his whole household.

⁸ When Pilate heard this statement, he was more afraid than ever.

Jesus’s Burial

³⁸ After^(A) this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus—but secretly because of his fear of the Jews—asked Pilate that he might remove Jesus’s body.^(B) Pilate gave him permission; so he came and took his body away.
