John 4:35-40
New International Version
35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.(A) 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests(B) a crop for eternal life,(C) so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37 Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’(D) is true. 38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.”
Many Samaritans Believe
39 Many of the Samaritans from that town(E) believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”(F) 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days.
John 4:35-40
New American Standard Bible
35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields, that they are white (A)for harvest. 36 Already the one who reaps is receiving (B)wages and is gathering (C)fruit for (D)eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this case the saying is true: ‘(E)One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have [a]come into their labor.”
The Samaritans
39 Now from (F)that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “(G)He told me all the things that I have done.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to [b]Jesus, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.
