³⁴ Jesus *said to them, “My food is to ^(A)do the will of Him who sent Me, and to ^(B)accomplish His work.

¹⁹ Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever ^[a]the Father does, these things the Son also does in the same way.

³⁰ “^(A)I can do nothing ^[a]on My own. As I hear, I judge; and ^(B)My judgment is ^[b]righteous, because I do not seek My own will but ^(C)the will of Him who sent Me.

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you ^(A)lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that ^[a](B)I am, and ^(C)I do nothing ^[b]on My own, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me.

Oneness with the Father

^7 (A)If you ^[a]had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you ^(B)know Him, and have ^(C)seen Him.”

^8 (D)Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” ⁹ Jesus *said to him, “Have I been with ^[b]you for so long a time, and yet ^[c]you have not come to know Me, Philip? ^(E)The one who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? ¹⁰ Do you not believe that ^(F)I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? ^(G)The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own, but the Father, as He remains in Me, does His works. ¹¹ Believe Me that ^(H)I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise ^(I)believe because of the works themselves.
