³ Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is ^(A)born ^(B)again^[a] he cannot ^(C)see the kingdom of God.”

⁵ Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born ^(A)of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

^7 (A)Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You^[a] must be born ^(B)again.’

³ and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you ^(A)turn and ^(B)become like children, you ^(C)will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

^8 (A)And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into ^(B)the eternal fire.

^24 (A)Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter ^(B)the kingdom of God.” ²⁵ When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”

^47 (A)And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into ^(B)hell,

²³ And someone said to him, “Lord, ^(A)will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, ^24 (B)“Strive ^(C)to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. ^25 (D)When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ^(E)‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ^(F)‘I do not know where you come from.’ ²⁶ Then you will begin to say, ^(G)‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ ²⁷ But he will say, ‘I tell you, ^(H)I do not know where you come from. ^(I)Depart from me, all you workers of evil!’ ^28 (J)In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see ^(K)Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but ^(L)you yourselves cast out. ²⁹ And ^(M)people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and ^(N)recline at table in the kingdom of God.

⁸ Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

⁹ You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact ^(A)the Spirit of God dwells in you. ^(B)Anyone who does not have ^(C)the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
