^6 (A)That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. ⁷ Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born ^[a]again.’ ^8 (B)The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

³⁰ and after he brought them out, he said, “Sirs, ^(A)what must I do to be saved?”

The Jailer Converted

³¹ They said, “^(B)Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and ^(C)your household.” ³² And they spoke the word of ^[a]the Lord to him together with all who were in his house. ³³ And he took them ^(D)that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.

Results of Justification

5 ^(A)Therefore, having been justified by faith, ^[a](B)we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

²³ For the wages of ^(A)sin is death, but the free gift of God is ^(B)eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁷ Therefore if anyone is ^(A)in Christ, ^[a]he is ^(B)a new creature; ^(C)the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

¹⁹ namely, that ^(A)God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, ^(B)not counting their trespasses against them, and ^[a]He has ^[b]committed to us the word of reconciliation.
