²⁷ John answered and said, ^(A)“A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

^17 (A)Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, ^(B)with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

⁷ For who ^[a]makes you differ from another? And ^(A)what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

¹⁰ But ^(A)by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, ^(B)yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

^10 (A)As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, ^(B)as good stewards of ^(C)the manifold grace of God. ^11 (D)If anyone speaks, let him speak as the ^[a]oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that ^(E)in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the ^[b]dominion forever and ever. Amen.

¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but ^(A)the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

¹³ These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the ^[a]Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. ^14 (B)But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹⁵ And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, ^(A)to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

⁴ And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as ^(A)Aaron was.
