²² After this Jesus and his disciples went into the region of Judea, and he spent some time there with them and baptized.

4 Now when Jesus^[a] learned that the Pharisees had heard, “Jesus is making and baptizing more disciples than John”^{(A) 2} (although it was not Jesus himself but his disciples who baptized), ³ he left Judea and started back to Galilee.

²⁶ They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the one who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you testified, here he is baptizing, and all are going to him.”^(A)

³ So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea so that your disciples also may see the works you are doing,^(A)

Jesus Cleanses the Temple
