²¹ But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been ^(A)done in God.”

^6 (A)If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

¹¹ Beloved, ^(A)do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. ^(B)He who does good is of God, ^[a]but he who does evil has not seen ^(C)God.

^15 (A)Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and ^(B)he who abides in love abides in God, and God ^(C)in him.

²⁷ But the ^(A)anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and ^(B)you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing ^(C)teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you ^[a]will abide in Him.

The Children of God

²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him, that ^[b]when He appears, we may have ^(D)confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. ^29 (E)If you know that He is righteous, you know that ^(F)everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

⁹ (for ^(A)the fruit of the ^[a]Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),
