¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, ^(A)that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

¹² Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ^(A)“I am the light of the world. He who ^(B)follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

¹² that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but ^(A)had pleasure in unrighteousness.

³⁹ And Jesus said, ^(A)“For judgment I have come into this world, ^(B)that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”

⁴⁰ Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, ^(C)and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”

⁴¹ Jesus said to them, ^(D)“If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

⁸ but to those who are self-seeking and ^(A)do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,

³² who, ^(A)knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things ^(B)are deserving of death, not only do the same but also ^(C)approve of those who practice them.

^43 (A)for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

^44 (A)How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek ^(B)the honor that comes from the only God?

³ knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, ^(A)walking according to their own lusts,

^22 (A)If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, ^(B)but now they have no excuse for their sin. ^23 (C)He who hates Me hates My Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them ^(D)the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have ^(E)seen and also hated both Me and My Father. ²⁵ But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ^(F)‘They hated Me without a cause.’
