¹⁷ “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through him.^(A)

³² And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people^[a] to myself.”^(A)

² and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.^(A)

¹⁹ Repent, therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out, ²⁰ so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord and that he may send the Messiah^[a] appointed for you, that is, Jesus, ²¹ who must remain in heaven until the time of universal restoration that God announced long ago through his holy prophets.^(A)

⁹ but we do see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower^[a] than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God^[b] he might taste death for everyone.^(A)

¹⁰ For to this end we toil and suffer reproach,^[a] because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.^(A)

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all,^[a](A)

³² For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may be merciful to all.^(A)

¹⁵ And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves but for the one who for their sake died and was raised.

¹⁹ that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself,^[a] not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.^(A)
