John 3:16

¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born^[a] Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

3:16 The phrase “only born” is from the Greek word “μονογενη”, which is sometimes translated “only begotten” or “one and only”.
