    gather us and deliver us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name,
    and glory in your praise.”
³⁶ Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,^(E)
    from everlasting to everlasting.

⁵ When hard pressed,^(A) I cried to the Lord;
    he brought me into a spacious place.^(B)

¹⁸ The Lord has chastened^(A) me severely,
    but he has not given me over to death.^(B)

²⁴ The Lord has done it this very day;
    let us rejoice today and be glad.^(A)

    Lord, grant us success!

With boughs in hand,^(G) join in the festal procession
