You Must Be Born Again

3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named ^(A)Nicodemus, ^(B)a ruler of the Jews.

^39 (A)Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus^[a] by night, came ^(B)bringing a mixture of ^(C)myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds^[b] in weight.

⁴⁷ The Pharisees answered them, ^(A)“Have you also been deceived? ^48 (B)Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? ⁴⁹ But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.” ^50 (C)Nicodemus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them,

¹⁰ Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel ^(A)and yet you do not understand these things?

¹³ Pilate then called together the chief priests and ^(A)the rulers and the people,
