¹² Jesus said to them, ^(A)“Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord.

^41 (A)not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us ^(B)who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.

¹⁹ Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them, “Are you inquiring among yourselves about what I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’?

³² But they ^(A)did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.

²⁹ Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.”

And He said, ^(A)“Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He ^(B)blessed him there.

³⁰ So Jacob called the name of the place ^[a]Peniel: “For ^(C)I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”

Jesus Restores Peter

¹⁵ So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of ^[a]Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I ^[b]love You.”

He said to him, ^(A)“Feed My lambs.”

The Whitened Harvest

²⁷ And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?”

^45 (A)But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.
