Why This Gospel Was Written

^30 (A)Therefore many other ^[a](B)signs Jesus also did in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; ³¹ but these have been written ^(C)so that you may believe that Jesus is the ^[b]Christ, ^(D)the Son of God; and that ^(E)believing you may have life in His name.

^37 (A)If anyone thinks he is a prophet or ^(B)spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you ^(C)are the Lord’s commandment.
