²¹ So Jesus said to them again, “^(A)Peace be with you; ^(B)as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” ²² And when He had said this, He ^(C)breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. ^23 (D)If you forgive the sins of any, their sins ^[a]have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”

²⁰ Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)he who receives anyone I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

Jesus Prays for His Disciples

⁶ “^(A)I have manifested Your name to the men whom ^(B)You gave Me out of the world; they were ^(C)Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have ^(D)kept Your word. ⁷ Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You; ⁸ for ^(E)the words which You gave Me ^(F)I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that ^(G)I came forth from You, and they believed that ^(H)You sent Me.
