Jesus and Thomas

²⁴ But Thomas (who was called the Twin^[a]), one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.^(A)

¹⁶ Thomas, who was called the Twin,^[a] said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”

²⁵ not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.^(A)

⁶⁶ Because of this many of his disciples turned back and no longer went about with him. ⁶⁷ So Jesus asked the twelve, “Do you also wish to go away?”

² Gathered there together were Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin,^[a] Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples.^(A)

⁵ Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

³ Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus and Thaddaeus;^[a]

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.”
