¹⁵ Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir,^[a] if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”^(A)

¹³ They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.”^(A)

⁷ Again he asked them, “Whom are you looking for?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”^[a](A)

³⁸ When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?”^(A)

⁶ But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him.^(A)

⁵ But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.^(A)

¹⁶ Do not regard your servant as a worthless woman, for I have been speaking out of my great anxiety and vexation all this time.”

⁴ Then Jesus, knowing all that was to happen to him, came forward and asked them, “Whom are you looking for?”^(A)

⁵ The women^[a] were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men^[b] said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here but has risen.^[c]

³⁴ You brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.^(A)
