¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, ^(A)“Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

²⁰ Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”

²¹ But He was speaking ^(B)of the temple of His body.

^16 (A)Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

¹⁷ If anyone ^[a]defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

^9 (A)Have you not cast out the priests of the Lord, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made for yourselves priests, like the peoples of other lands, ^(B)so that whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams may be a priest of ^(C)things that are not gods?

⁶ But let no one come into the house of the Lord except the priests and ^(A)those of the Levites who serve. They may go in, for they are holy; but all the people shall keep the watch of the Lord.

⁶ “Now say to the ^(A)rebellious, to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “O house of Israel, ^(B)let Us have no more of all your abominations. ^7 (C)When you brought in ^(D)foreigners, ^(E)uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it—My house—and when you offered ^(F)My food, ^(G)the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant because of all your abominations. ⁸ And you have not ^(H)kept charge of My holy things, but you have set others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.” ⁹ Thus says the Lord God: ^(I)“No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart or uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter My sanctuary, including any foreigner who is among the children of Israel.

²⁹ but he is a Jew ^(A)who is one inwardly; and ^(B)circumcision is that of the heart, ^(C)in the Spirit, not in the letter; ^(D)whose ^[a]praise is not from men but from God.

^11 (A)He even exalted himself as high as ^(B)the Prince of the host; ^(C)and by him ^(D)the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of ^[a]His sanctuary was cast down.

¹² Because of transgression, ^(A)an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast ^(B)truth down to the ground. He ^(C)did all this and prospered.
