¹⁹ Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”^(A)

⁵⁸ “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three days will build another,^(A) not made with hands.’”

²⁹ Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads^(A) and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days,^(B)

⁴⁰ and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days,^(A) save yourself!^(B) Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!”^(C)

⁶⁰ But they did not find any, though many false witnesses^(A) came forward.

Finally two^(B) came forward ⁶¹ and declared, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”^(C)

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish,^(A) so the Son of Man^(B) will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.^(C)

¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead^(A) is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies^(B) because of^[a] his Spirit who lives in you.

¹⁵ You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead.^(A) We are witnesses^(B) of this.

³² God has raised this Jesus to life,^(A) and we are all witnesses^(B) of it.

²⁴ But God raised him from the dead,^(A) freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.^(B)
