11 He came [a]unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 [b]But as many as received him, to them he gave [c]prerogative to be the sons of God, even to them that believe in his Name,
13 Which are born not of blood, nor of the [d]will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

- John 1:12 The Son being shut out of the most of his people, and acknowledged but of a few, doth regenerate them by his own virtue and power, and receiveth them into that honor which is common to all the children of God, that is to be the sons of God.
